Teaching.
Over the last twenty years, I have developed a lifelong passion for everything psychology and psychotherapy have to offer, leading me to go into teaching psychology at the university level.

As a lecturer at multiple Universities in Germany I cover modules such as Psychodynamic and Psychoanalytic Interventions in clinical settings and the History of Science of Psychology.

Research.
As a practicing professional, I constantly and continually look to improve as a psychotherapist.
By broadening my techniques and learning about new approaches I ensure you the highest standard of practice. At the moment I am immersing myself in the field of history of science.
I have a special interest in the development of the individual psychology movement in the early the 20th century lead by Alfred Adler and his successors. My research focuses on the biography of Manès Sperber.
My work is characterized by interdisciplinarity, cutting across the disciplines of Psychology, History, History of Science, Philosophy and Literature.

Running.
Over the past decade, I have developed a deep and enduring passion for running, evolving from 5K races to half marathons and the commitment to complete a full marathon in 2026. This progression mirrors my professional path: not a sprint, but a marathon defined by patience, discipline, and long-term vision.
In many ways, running has become both metaphor and method. It reminds me that meaningful development unfolds over time, through perseverance and attunement to one’s own limits and strengths.
This journey became even more meaningful through my decision to run for charity. Running for Hospice UK has made this journey even more meaningful, allowing me to raise awareness and funds in support of palliative care.

Music.
In my spare time, I find that playing, writing and recording music is my therapy. It helps me make sense of my feelings and it contributes to my mental health to express myself emotionally.

As an award winning musician I’m trying to inspire my clients to reach their goals even if they seem unachievable. Furthermore I became the first German to ever record at the infamous Abbey Road Studios in London where artists like The Beatles, Oasis, U2 and Adele wrote music history.

Business.
By running my own business as an entrepreneur, I can now share my hands-on experience and clinical knowledge that I have acquired over the past twenty years. Take a look at www.altmark-retreat.de to learn more about my multimodal and person-centred mental health enterprise.
